Fresh news that South Korea issued a government mandate which states that 0.5% of diesel fuels will be blended with biodiesel and in two years the figure will be increased to 5%…

Now I know why there were some Korean businessmen last year in Mindanao promoting the planting of Jatropha (giving some free seeds away infact)… from what I’ve heard however, is that they were just planning to buy the seeds and not set up a processing plant…

Alamn of MNSpeak writes that this is the anniversary of biodiesel in Minnesota… a year ago it was mandated that biodiesel be blended with the fuel…

Target areas for planting are:

1. 45,000-hectare Kibaritan complex located in Barangay Malinao, Kalilangan, Bukidnon;
2. 2,000-hectare Mayapay complex near Butuan City
3. 35-hectare in Camp Evangelista, Cagayan de Oro City.
