I was watching Back To the Future III a while back when I realized that things could have ended differently had Doc Brown known how to ferment sugarcane into Ethanol and used it to Fuel the De Lorean.
In the movie, when Marty arrived in 1885 in order to rescue the time stranded Doc Brown, he ran into a phalanx of arrow wielding Indians. One of whom was lucky enough to impale the car and cause it’s fuel lines to rupture.
Then again, it would have made a lousy movie if we ended it the right way… *snicker*
