It’s a bit late to announce this as this accord happened last week… still it is quite an historical event as 30 countries take the first step in developing a commercially viable nuclear fusion reactor… France edged out Japan in the bidding to host the plant, which will be situated in Cadarache.
Compared to Nuclear fission, which is the technology behind all nuclear powerplants, Nuclear Fusion is more safer and less damaging to the environment in the event of an accident.
