UK Metrology’s Hadley Centre is predicting a record world temperature in 2007 brought about by the effect of greenhouses gases and the current El Nino event occuring.
The global surface temperature is projected to be 0.54C (0.97F) above the long-term average of 14C (57F), beating the current record of 0.52C (0.94F), which was set in 1998.
They are saying that there is a 60% chance of the record temperature being set. The Centre has been issuing the yearly forecast for the past seven years with a margin of error of 0.06C.
A historical graph of world temperature compiled by the Hadley Centre would infact show the trend of increasing world temperatures.

Knowing how Global Warming works, some countries will face increased rainfall while others will experience extreme drought. Either way, it’s going to put a tax on our farm systems and food supply if ever this prediction comes true. In line with this, there are also reports of US cities experiencing warm winters. Areas which normally have snow have more “Fall” like weather instead.
