Nick Fry, CEO of Honda F1, announced that this years car (RA107) is going to run without any sponsorship ads plastered on it (click on image for larger version). In place of the sponsorship stickers is a full picture of the earth landscape. This is in the hope of drumming up support for environmental awareness. This is the first time since 1968 that an F1 team has fielded a car without any sponsorship support.
Anthony Turner of Carbonsense acts as a consultant to Honda F1 on their advocacy. The Honda F1 team is also adopting the use of Solar and Wind Power to power some of the teams equipment. Two years from now they are also expecting to implement hybrid technology in their cars in order to reduce further their carbon emissions.
