Looks like all the Oil Companies in the Philippines have already expressed their capability to implement the 1% mixing of biodiesel in diesel come May 2007 when the Philippine Biofuel Act takes effect.
No mention however on their capability to implement the mixing of ethanol in gasoline which is also a requirement in the Law.

Philippine President, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo said that the main problem in implementing the biofuels act will be public acceptance. She called on the scientific community for help in convincing the general populace while speaking before the Philippine Council for Industry and Energy Research and Development.

The Department of Energy is planning to delay the implementation of the Philippines Biofuels Act, or more popularly known as RA 9637. This is to give way to the local elections slated on May 15. According to the passed law, implementation should commence 3 months after signing of the act into law.

The University of Notre Dame’s Research group has come up with a novel way to improve the efficiency of Carbon Nano tubes by adding a film made of titanium-oxide nanoparticles to the present setup. This made energy collection more efficient than existing decisions. Although construction was considered to be cheaper, Carbon Nano Tubes lacked the collection to compete with existing solar technologies.
