There is a very high correlation amongst them since their trend lines are quite similar. I am assuming that whenever the price of oil spikes up people start getting interested in alternative sources for energy.
For the keyword “oil price”, Malaysia is the region with the most queries. In general, most of the queries are also coming from the Asian region. Guess Asians are just very concerned with the price of oil, most likely because they don’t have much of it and the region is generally known as an importer of fuels.

For “Ethanol”, Jamaica came out on top. Not surprising considering that Jamaica is a known sugarcane producer and a fuel importer. Their economy would do well by converting their sugar into Ethanol and reducing their dependence on foreign oil.
For “Biodiesel”, surprisingly enough that the Honduras came out as the no. 1 region for searches on this keyword. The sad thing about the Honduras is that aside from being the second poorest country in Central America, it only has about 9.53% arable land from its total land area. Going into biodiesel would mean having to plant in the mountainous regions of the country’s interior. A sub-search of “Jatropha Curcas” was made to check whether Honduras would come out on the list, turned out that it didn’t. What came out was Indonesia, Philippines and India on the top three. Which was also expected since these three countries have been very noisy in their plans to develop the Jatropha Curcas as a source for biodiesel.
Lastly, for the keyword “Hybrid”, it wasn’t surprising that the United States came out on top. What was surprising is that the Philippines came out second. Considering that the Philippines doesn’t have that much hybrids on the road, however this proves that there is quite an interest for Hybrid vehicles in the Philippines.
