Biologist Lloyd Godson lived for two weeks underwater in his BioSub to prove that sustainable living is possible. Solar Cells and a Stationary Bicycle connected to a power generator were his source of energy while an algae farm absorbed his CO2 and converted it to breathable oxygen. Of course the food issue was solved by having divers come down to him regularly to deliver it along with his water.
The Biosub was a 10ft long submarine that was submerged in a lake at Albury, Australia. Students from the around the world were able to communicate with him while he was living underwater for 13 days via his website.
