suncloud.pngIt was reported that last tuesday was the hottest day ever in Manila with a temperature of 36.8 deg. Celsius. According to PAGASA, that it could be just the opening salvo of one of the hottest summers in the Philippines. I think 37 or 38 was the hottest on record from what I remember?

Summer in the Philippines starts at April and ends in May. If we base it on the temperature alone, from what I’ve experienced the hot weather extends even further past May till June. You’d think that 36.8 is nothing, but because of the high humidity we have here that prevents the air from absorbing your sweat and making you feel the cooling effect of evaporation, it is feels hotter than what you actually read from the thermometer gauge.

To think that a decade ago it was reported that 35 deg. Celsius was the hottest day ever in the Philippines.
