insd_top_logo.jpgChemrez, my favorite pioneering biodiesel manufacturer in the Philippines (good luck in trying to buy their stock!), announced that they will start selling fractionated biodiesel internationally next month once construction on their new facility has finished. This facility has the capability to produce 60,000 MT per year of Fractionated CME.

Fractionated biodiesel can be used as:

Fatty alcohols or surfactants for detergents, environment-friendly lubricants and solvents, and even additives engine oils for aeronautical and aerospace applications.

Hmmm?, as a lubricant additive in airplanes? I wonder if the FAA has already approved that? Considering that travel in the atmosphere is at some bone chilling temperature and that biodiesel is known to gellify at cold temperatures.

As long as they prioritize selling to the Philippine Market over the International Market, they will always be my all time favorite biofuel company.
