Check out the official website of the Philippine’s first ever entry to the 2007 World Solar Car Challenge. Aptly titled “Sinag”, which means “Ray of Light” in Filipino, it was developed by the Faculty and students of my Alma Mater’s Engineering Dept, De La Salle University-Manila.
According to the team schedule posted on the site, May ~ June had been set for trial runs while send off to the World Solar Car Championships will happen on September.
The World Solar Car Challenge, slated in October is a 3,010 kilometers long race where Solar powered cars are expected to travel the Australian continent.
