Jatropha CurcasPNOC president Peter Anthony Abaya said that there are entities interested in purchasing the potential carbon credits that can be generated by the PNOC-Alternative Fuels Corporations Jatropha Plantations. Three of the entities he mentioned were EcoSecurites, Mitsubishi Securities of Japan and the World Bank.

cocnut.JPGThe Philippine Coconut Authority reported that Coconut production in the Philippines could miss its production target of 2.3 Million Tons of Copra because of the damage typhoons have brought to coconut producing areas last year. They are expecting only a yield of 2.1 Million Tons this year. The year before that there was also a decline in production as they were only able to harvest 2.4 Million tons.

Wind Mill
A picture of my son fascinated with the miniature wind mills situated around a butterfly park. My wife mentioned that he was more interested in them than with the colorful butterflies floating around them.

Call it childlike curiosity but I hope that this will spark an interest in him which is similar to the interest that his old man has with alternative and renewable energy sources. That way I have somebody to pass on this blog to. But hey, an interest in energy conservation is enough for me to begin with *snicker*
