SinagThe Philippine’s first ever World Solar Challenge entry has now hit the 2000 km milestone of the gruelling 3000km race in Australia. Check out their current position [here].

The car, cristened Sinag, is taken from the Filipino word meaning “Ray of Sunlight.” The car was built by Students from my Alma Mater’s Mechanical Engineering Department and Electronics and Communications Engineering Dept, with the help of their professors.

dell.gifDell just recently announced that Gilbert F. Casellas will assume duties as Vice President of Corporate Responsibility. His office will be under Don Carty, vice chairman and chief financial officer of Dell.

Mr. Carty said:

Gloria Macapagal ArroyoAt the unveiling of a Compressed National Gas Station in Batangas. Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo once again called for the Philippine Congress to work anew to pass the Renewable Energy Bill which is pending in the House of Representatives. Pointing out that the country needs this to stave off the impact of high oil prices on the Philippine economy as well as to fight the increasing pollution.

With the looming Presidential Elections in the United States, Debate Season is warming up to a fever pitch. One of the key forums where the candidates can show their wares is at the Houston Presidential Summit. This will happen on the 13th of November at Houston Texas. Here, Leading Presidential Candidates will meet to discuss their energy policies for their campaign.
