Philippine FlagThe Philippine Presidential Task Force on Climate Change (PTFCC), the National Power Corp (NAPOCOR) and the Department of Education of the Philippines signed a memorandum of agreement which paves the way for the integration of the topic on Climate Change to the Science Curriculum of the Primary and Secondary levels (Signed last March 31.)

The MOU specifically aims to integrate in the school curriculum the subject or topic on climate change. In this way, the government will be able to instill in the Filipino school youth the value and significance of climate change and its impact and consequences.[source]

Yup, in the war against climate change, one of the best weapons is to attack the problem at it’s cause. And that is by educating the people who are causing climate change so as that they can change their ways. Of course the sad thing is that, the Philippines as a country contributes less to Climate Change compared to the more highly industrialized nations of the United States, India and China.
