Philippines will play host to a Biofuel forum that will be attended by South East Asian nations. To be held on April 23 to 25 at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati. The theme of the forum is entitled: “Unravelling the Policy Issues and Development Challenges on Biofuels”.
The event is hosted by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARGA) who are headquartered at Los Baños.
The purpose of the forum is for the:
Participants to update themselves on global and regional trends and patterns in biofuel production, consumption, and policy, analyze and discuss policy issues and development challenges of biofuel development programs and their emerging industry, and formulate research on biofuels as applicable to their respective areas of influence.
To add further:
Participants are decision-makers and policymakers in government agencies, academe, research institutions, and the private actor in energy, science and technology, economics, agriculture, engineering, forestry, and other fields relevant to biofuel production, processing, and distribution from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
