According to this report, these are the wind farm projects that the Lopez’s Energy Development Corp (PNOC-EDC) are working on.
- 86 MW Wind Farm in Burgos, Ilocos Norte (down from the initial 120 - 140 MW.)
- Finished feasibility study for a 40 MW Wind Farm in Pagudpud Ilocos Norte.
- Exploration of wind farm potential in the islands of Boracay, Aklan and Nubenta and Surigao del Sur.
What is also surprising to note from the report is their admitting that they are having a hard time sourcing wind turbines for their wind farms because of the tight supply. That’s definitely a nice problem to have. Because it means that demand for alternative energy fuel harvesting equipment is picking up because power companies are switching to cleaner fuel sources.
