After Metro Pacific opted out of its MOA with Basic Energy to develop ethanol plants in the Philippines, Basic Energy was finally able to find a partner in Canadian company Nexum Energy Corp.
I wonder if Nexum was offered majority interest as what Metro Pacific had in their agreement? What’s sure that they will be doing together though are the following:
- 200,000-liter-per-day ethanol plant using cassava as feedstock.
- 8 MW power plant.
- Natural gas
- Organic fertilizer.
1, 2, and 4 I can understand. But Natural Gas? do they mean to say that they will put the waste product slop from the bioethanol refinery into a biodigester and turn it into methane for the 8MW powerplant?
