A few months back NCCC Mall, the store where we regularly buy our groceries from, started offering their own version of the reusable shopping bag. Its being sold for just P55.00 ($1=P49) and comes in the store’s colors, which is predominantly blue with a dash of yellow. Reusable shopping bags can be used by customers to carry their groceries in instead of the more common method of a plastic bag.
The other great thing about this bag is that you get to acquire shoppers points whenever you use the bag for your groceries. That would mean of course that you would have to avail of their privilege card which is renewed yearly.
As a regular patron of the NCCC Group of grocery stores I can say that the privilege card is well worth it, in terms of discounts and free gifts that you can receive when you redeem your points.
Nice to see too that the NCCC group is pushing back to the customers the savings that they will incur when customers adopt reusable bags in place of the plastic ones.
The first store to offer Reusable shopping bags in Davao City was the SM Mall. SM group was also the first store in the city to offer biodegradable shopping bags.
