Just in time with the signing of the Philippine Renewable Energy Law, Global Green of UK signed through its subsidiary, Green Power Panay Philippines Inc.(GPPPI) an Electricity Supply Agreement (ESA) with Iloilo Electric Cooperative I and II on Dec.16 and Dec. 17.
This paves the way for the construction of Global Green’s Biomass power plants that they announced last month.
GPPPI was incorporated with the Philippine SEC on Jan. 21, 2008.
The contract they signed, to supply power, will last for 25 years. GPPPI’s power will come from two 18 MW biomass power plants which will carry an estimated construction cost of $40 million each and will be built in Panay. The first plant will be completed on January 2011 while the second will be a few months later.
