Revival talks on the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) seemed to have simmered down a bit. Maybe its because of the Easter holidays that have not only the legislative branches of the Philippines, but rather the entire country, put in holiday mode. One of the main opponents of the controversial bill to revive the power plant, the very powerful Catholic Church, seemed to also have been hampered down with the “busy”ness of the season.
During this off season of Lent, I took a chance to look at the devastation wrought about by the disaster of the Nuclear Plant in Chernobyl. A Flickr Search on Chernobyl brought these very graphic images. Who knows?, maybe all those who oppose and are for the BNPP could benefit from looking at these images.
