In a letter sent by the Jordanian government’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA). They had extended an invitation to parties interested in offering consultancy services to market wind energy in their country. More specifically to develop the wind energy capacity of Jordan.
The requirement is that the firms must posses the technical know-how of connecting renewable energy projects to the country’s power grid; improve its legal, technical and regulatory frameworks for such “green” projects; and put a guiding price list for electricity rates generated from wind energy.
Must be the “in” thing now, for countries to seek assistance on their green energy initiatives from other countries, since only recently during President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s visit to Brazil, the two nations had signed an accord for Brazil to give technical support to the Philippines in developing its biofuel industry.
