China overtakes the US as No. 1 CO2 emitterNew records show that China has already beaten the US in the title of being the country emitting the most CO2 into our atmosphere. What’s remarkable about this also is that they did it in just a short span of time.

No doubt its because of the massive amounts of coal fired power plants and factories in China. During this year’s Beijing Olympics they had to shutdown majority of the factories around the city just so that the smog would clear up.

Definitely not one title a country should be looking forward to nor aspire for.

Antonio Trillanes III files bill to amend Philippine Clean Air ActImprisoned Senator, Antonio Trillanes IV, filed recently a bill in the Philippine Senate to amend the Clean Air Act so that waste incinerators could be exempted from its coverage.

Looks like the Metro Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) Traffic Enforcers decided to finally implement strictly the 1991 law of banning smoking in Public Vehicles in Metro Manila. Today, the traffic enforcers positioned themselves in main thoroughfares of the Nation’s capital and flagged down jeepneys and buses who had people smoking in them.
