Barely into the summer season and a few weeks from announcing the hottest day in the Metro. A new record high for 2010 was set for the hottest day in the capital as Metro Manila registered a 35.5 C temperature reading in the mercury.

According to PAGASA, yesterday Feb 24 2010 was the hottest day of 2010 in the Philippines wherein the temperature reached 34.5C at around 1:50 PM. However, with it only being February the country could expect still warmer days ahead with the onset of summer.
