Philippine President, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, met with bishops of the Catholic Church last monday along with some members of his cabinet with regards to discussing his stand on the Reproductive Health Bill. The President was able to give his side while the Catholic Church assured him that he would not be excommunicated.
President Aquino shared lunch at his home in Bahay Pangarap within the grounds of Malacanang palace with 4 bishops of the Catholic Church. These bishops were Cebu Archbishop Ricardo Cardinal Vidal, Cavite Bishop Luis Antonio Tagle, Cagayan de Oro Bishop Antonio Ledesma and Tandag Bishop Nerio Odchimar, chair of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP)
